A special feature of the Hilltown Hounds Club trials is the awarding of The Jenny Award
This is a judge’s choice award. It is in honor of a former founding Hilltown Hounds member’s (Alice Newth) dog, Jenny, a black lab mix.
Jenny wasn’t the fastest dog, or the most accurate dog and didn’t have a high Q rate, but she loved, loved, loved running with Alice and was always so happy in the ring. Alice always celebrated with her after each run no matter how they did.
The Jenny Award is awarded to a team that the judge feels shows the spirit of agility – having fun with their dog no matter what happens in the ring – good or bad.
